Torres, Park Activists Demand $$

After years of decreased funding and low staffing levels at the NYC Parks Department, Councilman Ritchie Torres, Bronx Park East Community Association and New Yorkers for Parks held a press conference demanding the Mayor invest $100 million in the Parks Department to hire more full-time maintenance workers and fund other staffing needs.
